Hello, and thanks for visiting. This blog will be the chronicle of my road trip to as my national parks in the Western United States that I can visit in two months. Beyond that, I may do a second trip via train, before heading to Hawaii and beyond.

The last few months have been busy, and I have not had enough time to design my own unique blog. Thus, I’m starting off with a free theme, which looks good enough. Eventually, when I have time, I plan to come up with my own design.

Why have I been so busy? Well, this isn’t a spur-of-the-moment trip. I’ve been planning this for years, and started acting on those plans in January 2014. I’ve lived in Boston for the past six years, and have accumulated some furniture. Rather than pay to ship it home to my mom’s house in Indiana, it’s easier to just sell the furniture, and mail boxes of things I want to keep home. That’s been a big ongoing project all year.

It came time to finally quit my job in July, when things kicked into high gear. Where exactly am I going? How will I get there? What will I do there? Where will I sleep? What gear will I need? I had to answer all those questions.

In this blog I will write about all the decisions I have to make before I leave. Once I get underway in September, I hope to write about my experiences, and share photos here.

Again, thanks for visiting!
